Understanding the Design Phase

The Design Phase is where ideas turn into clear, build-ready plans. After gathering community input and exploring options, engineers focus on finalizing a design that reflects the needs and priorities of the community.

This phase is important because it ensures available funding is used wisely while focusing on the areas that need it most. It also prepares the project to move quickly into construction as additional funding becomes available.

To learn more about what this means for your community, download the Design Phase Overview in the Additional Project Information section below.
